Vintage Window Table

Have you all gotten your Christmas shopping and planning done? I only have a few more gifts to purchase and I'll be set. I still can't believe how fast this year has flown by.

I'm so excited to show you guys my new night stand...well, actually Mr. T's new night stand! I found it at the local art shop a friend of mine owns ( I find lots of great finds @ Union County Arts). It's not a new idea, but one that I have loved for some time and just never got around to making. Thankful that someone local loved this same idea! You guys know how a to do list grows.....but sometimes never gets done, I know I can't be the only one.

First, I'll show you the new night stand since I'm super happy about it.
I love old windows no matter how they look, I love the history, the imperfections, and all the versatile uses they have. I created a "vintage wedding window"  that holds (6) 8x10's of my wedding, and hung it on my side of the bed. That window made this table even more perfect!

Here's the desk I used before, I snagged it up for $5 @ Goodwill 50% off about a year ago, and repainted it white. It was terribly painted in a lilac and black combo....Yuck! This desk has made its appearance around the house in a few spots. I decided to part ways with it and give it to my brother, who needed a night stand himself. FYI- the crochet basket is from UCA as well, see...told you there are great finds there!

I decked it out with some pretty vintage finds.

Do you guys have any ideas on what I could place on display? I thought maybe
old family photos...or old local landmark photos.

Hope you all have a great weekend! My forecast has lots and lots of rain here!

  2. Hey Charity....love, love, love it! How about displaying some vintage handkerchiefs or doilies with vintage perfume bottles or barrettes? Hmmm....
